As Development Director at UNCF I have had the privilege of working with a stellar national development team, whose work and dedication are unparalleled. In my short experience with the help of my colleagues I assisted in establishing both merit and need based scholarship programs; develop social media and marketing strategies for the local market; and work with UNCF leadership councils across the state made up of some of the most respectable leaders from companies and organizations like Eli Lilly & Co., Anthem, USA Funds, IU Health and Eastern Star Church, just to name a few. Last year, the regional office successfully exceeded is annual fundraising goal of $1.4 Million of which more $650K was for scholarships for students right here in Indiana. This year, UNCF and Indianapolis-based Lilly Endowment Inc., created the UNCF Career Pathways Initiative, a $50 million program targeted at better preparing students across the country for 21st century jobs. UNCF provides me to the opportunity to carryout my professional dream to make a meaningful difference in our community.
